Our school admission procedure is administered by St Helens Local Authority. All children, who are three years old, are entitled to receive up to 15 hours of free, Government funded childcare per week, over 38 weeks. Children are eligible the term after their third birthday. Our Nursery operates morning and afternoon sessions, three hours daily; 15 hours per week. Morning or afternoon places will be allocated by school once we have received information from the admissions department.
The times for morning and afternoon sessions are:
Morning: 9.00 am - 12.00 am
Afternoon: 12.30 pm - 3.30 pm
Some children are eligible to receive up to 30 hours of free childcare; however, there is set Government criteria which parents need to meet in order to receive this. Visit the Childcare Choices wesite for information on 15 hour and 30 hour free child places for 3 & 4 year olds.
The session for children who are funded for 30 hours is 9.00 am – 3.30 pm.
You can apply for admission the term after your child's third birthday. If your child was born on or between:
- 1 September and 31 December, you can apply for January admission.
- 1 January and 31 March, you can apply for April admission.
- 1 April and 31 August, you can apply for September admission.

Nursery Wrap Around Care
Our 30 hour places run from 9am- 3.30pm; Lunch is at the cost of £2.00 to pay for additional staffing costs. This is payable via the School Gatway app.
We offer a small number of places in our Breakfast Club and After-School Club. Places may be booked via the school office. The cost is £4 per hour and is paid via the school app. Both clubs provided a small snack and the children will have the opportunity to take part in a variet of play activties.
Breakfast Club runs from 7.50am-8.50am
After-School Club runs from 3.30pm-5.30om.

If your child turns four on or between 1 September 2022 and 31 August 2023, he or she can start primary school in September 2023. Classes will be allocated by school once we have received information from the admissions department.

We have places available in EYFS and KS1: there are limited places in KS2.
You must complete a separate in-year tranfer application form if you wish to move your child from another school to our school. Please access St Helens Transferring Schools website for more information.
If your child is not offered a place at your preferred school, you have a right to appeal against that decision to an Independent Appeals Panel. Information on how you can appeal will be sent in the decision letter and can also be access on St Helens Appeals website.
