Nursery's orang utan, Oscar went on holiday to Borneo.

Class: Nursery Year: 2018 - 2019

Oscar has been living in Nursery for three years. He joins in all of the fun! This year he travelled to Borneo to find some wild orang utans, but discovered much more besides. From Pygmy elephants to proboscis monkeys and a close call with a Macaque, he travelled via Abu Dabi and Kuala Lumpur to the Bornean jungle. He saw giant trees as he trekked  through the forest, but was saddened to see the deforestation and palm oil plantations. Oscar enjoyed river cruses on the Kinabatangan River, saw bats and swiftlets in the Gomatong Caves and sampled the city life of Kota Kinnabalu. The highlight of his trip was visiting the recsued orang utans in the Sepiloc Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre. Oscar visited a village school in Bilit village long building in photographs) and bought refreshments from the village shop! The trip ended at the Proboscis Monkey Sanctuary, where he made a new friend called Paul. Paul has journeyed back with Oscar and begun his new life in Nursery!!
