|Eco-Schools is an international award programme that guides schools on their sustainable journey, providing a framework to help embed these principles into the heart of school life.|
Eccleston Mere have an Eco Committee, made up of two children from each of the junior classes, plus Miss Wright and Mrs Hackett. This committee meet at least once a month to discuss eco matters and to generate ideas of what our school can do to become more 'green'. The chairperson and secretary are children from year 6.
We have recently achieved the Bronze Eco-School Award and we are now working towards the silver award. These awards are given to recognise our achievement in working towards a sustainable lifestyle.
As part of the application, the Eco-Committee are in the process of generating an action plan for our school.
